Fantastic program, highly recommend!

A fellow teacher once said to me, "you're an entrepreneur that became a teacher, not the other way around." As true as that may be, I was still lacking a few puzzle pieces to put together a proper teaching business. This program helped me put together the whole puzzle and take action on it.

After being fired from iTutorgroup, I started teaching on my own because I truly enjoyed this profession. I took the time to put together a program similar to what I was familiar with at iTutorgroup and leveraged my current entrepreneurship skills to snag some clients. That was in 2018 and I have been teaching on my own since then. I attended the January 2021 challenge. Being that I had a lot of experience in teaching on my own, I thought the program would only marginally help me but I still wanted to give it a shot.

Before the program even started, a mindset video was posted and I took action. I raised my rates and flexed my sales muscles on my next trial lesson. Boom, doubled my income. I paid off this program, plus more, before I even started. But that's just me.

Over the course of the program, I only grew more and more fond of it. I have a unique perspective because I've also been in James' shoes, so I can truly appreciate the program. I put together my own training program on Udemy to train teachers on how to work independently but it pales in comparison to what James put together.

I firmly believe that if you're considering teaching English online, you should definitely participate in this program. It'll create urgency, help you take action, and deliver results.

Last but not least, I've found my teacher-entrepreneurship tribe through this program. The community is invaluable.

The Challenge was a crunch-filled resourceful course. I learned so much in a short amount of time and feel I have resources I didn’t know I had to make my business grow. Thank you!

For English teachers, the internet is a jungle. True, there are many potential students out there, but it is not easy for any teacher to get noticed, seeing that the market is also flooded with teachers, and you are alone and up against big companies, online teaching platforms and schools that invest a lot of money in advertising and search-engine optimisation.

James proposes a solution - move from general English to niche teaching, and from open-ended, lesson-by-lesson teaching to course-teaching (The strategy he offers you is, incidentally, also what he himself has done, and you get to observe him in action, too).

But he doesn't just give you a clear idea of what to do. He gets you to actually do it, shows you exactly how to go about it, answers all of your questions, works on your mindset, encourages you and all of your coursemates to become a supportive community of friends, and walks you through all of the necessary steps - day by day, one task at a time - so that by the end of the course, you are well on your way to seeing your first tangible results. The course was not only incredibly useful, but also a lot of fun. It is definitely excellent value for money.

I am so grateful I came across this training. In the beginning, I was a bit skeptical, I had doubts about my own abilities to become an entrepreneur and have my own business in teaching. That sounded like an impossible mission, where should I start from? how can I sell my service? who should I teach? what should I teach? and all kinds of questions swirled in my head. Then I found this program and with James, I learned some valuable tips like choosing a niche, connect with people in this niche, nurture them so they become clients. James' mindset videos were a huge help in keeping me focused on my tasks. I had the chance to meet great people in the group as well. To whoever is reading this review I say; don't hesitate and take the challenge, this might be the chance for you to get something great.

I had high hopes when I bought this course and I leave being not really impressed by it. It is a real shame that you spent so much time on LinkedIn and merely mentioned paid advertising and find your reasoning why you are not covering paid marketing unconvincing. I will finish this course but will not make use of any bonus. I will no be recommending this course.

Much of the information I already knew. However, I really liked the day 9 video where we were shown how to market on LinkedIn. I enjoyed learning about the three step process of connect-nurture-convert.

This challenge has been great experience for me! I ' ve learned so much in the past 21 days. James will help you build the foundation of your business, he will guide you through social media and he will give you a clear understanding of how to align yourself with your niche! Everything is given in small chunks, there is everyday work you need to put in, but as long as you stay committed you will get results. And it s worth it. So, join the challenge!

The Teacher-Entrepreneur Challenge taught me to think in ways that never would have occurred to me. James generously shared his expertise with the group, which I found extremely valuable as I only have minimal experience with the business world. I learned about how to use social media, how to phrase pitches with prospective clients and how to value the services I provide to my clients. The information was presented in chunks and easy to understand, step-by-step instructions. This was well worth the investment! Thank you, James!
